OUGD502 - Brief 2 - Evaluation

After doing my presentation I felt relieved from the pressure of nerves I had been holding back, although I am fairly confident in conversation place me in a room with 10+ people and I become twitchy and word slurry. I believe that my presentation although nervous went well I felt I covered most things about this year aside from the odd thing I forgot to mention like my first paid client which I am incredibly proud of not because of the work I produced but the fact I got real life money for a real life logo which they then used on tshirts, cards, and even on there car! this was an incredible milestone for myself and I'm hoping it will become a regular thing rather than a novelty. As a person I am growing and I'm still growing, I don't know where i am yet but its ok because most people don't at 30!

The next year I hope to get some idea of myself set, like what I want to do in the future. This module has allowed me to express my individuality and to learn who I am. I have enjoyed branding myself and Im still going to continue this until I love it, which if I know me could be ongoing! Another thing I have found beneficial is learning to be confident and to talk to people more specifically people I don't know, by doing this I will create friendship, partnerships and even work from it. Throughout this brief I have stumbled across influential people such as Hattie Stweart and Anthony Burrill. Not only have professionals inspired me but my peers every single one of my peers are different and all creative with some amazing ideas this inspires me and sparks motivation into me. One other thing that I feel I have benefitted from greatly is getting a Job at Commercial Print House - Kolorcraft in Ossett this is great experience for me having a heavily influenced passion in print. Because of this I have more confidence in approaching people and I am hoping these skills will help me present myself to Elmwood studio as I would love a placement over summer.

Overall this brief has helped me progress as both a student and as a person, I will be continuing researching other people and engaging with their work again next year, I have realised that PPP is not just a module but a life skill and I am going to grab it with both hands so I don't waste this opportunity.
