After getting a logo down I started on business cards, I ideally wanted to letterpress these but in the time set for the deadline I decided I will progress this in the summer holidays with more access and possibility to workspaces. On the back of my business cards I used the same technique as the front - I used a DIY print kit with individual letters similar to a letter press but more accessible to replicate my idea, although the front looked great the back was too large and cluttered this lead me to print my backs seperatley digital this was another problem because the fronts of my cards were neon to match my design digitally neon ink is not widely available so I used a pantone book to create the best and brightest colours by colour matching using the skills I had learned from work.
My stock exploration - I chose to duplex my cards both for ease and professional appearance by printing the front and reverse separately it left room for alignment mistakes rather than on the same sheet it also allowed me to pick and choose the stock I printed on this really reflects my was of working and exploration not to mention my love for paper. Overall I am really pleased with my cards, and I am going to take them to berlin with me and leave them in places for people to find with the hopes of getting some international contacts!
My chosen stocks vary between white and cream textured stock, the back of my cards are consistent on a thin cotton feel and look stock.
